Looking for typical gas mileage results on R230's. Nothing in existing threads seems recent.

Here's my contribution:

2004 SL500 - 9000 miles so far, 23.5 mpg avg. Highway only (stopping only for refueling) yields high 27's/low 28's at 70 MPH. Instrument cluster MPG display is a little conservative by about 0.5 to 0.7 mpg.

Curious how this compares to SL600/SL55. (no lectures, please, on how insignificant gasoline cost is compared to depreciation)

That is what I am getting. But I drive 80 on the highway and sometimes 110.

According to the car's computer, I get about 13 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway in my SL600.
