My newly acquired car has non MB batteries.
At the moment it has:
Main/Front: Interstate MTP-V4, a non AMG... is older of the two.
Aux/Rear: Interstate MTX-48/H6 a AMG type..newer with a date sticker of 12/22.
Could someone please share part # for the corresponding MB batteries.
Also, some tips on how to swap these batteries.
After swapping do I need to code the batteries.
I am sure some consumer functions will be lost after the exchange. What are those and how to reset them?
Thanks.

Disconnect and remove rear battery: negative, then positive
Disconnect and remove front battery: negative, then positive
Replace front battery: positive, then negative
Replace rear battery: positive, then negative

Turn the car on and reset the windows by holding the switches up fully until all four windows close all the way.
If you get the 'ESP unavailable' message, turn the wheel lock to lock to reset.
If you get a red 'Battery defective - visit workshop' message you will need a scan tool to reset it. It can't be done any other way
Don't bother resetting the clock - it will reset via the GPS.

I did the ESP reset routine and that message is gone.
Thanks.

For what it’s worth, MB batteries are made by Interstate, per the parts manager at a local MB dealership. At least USA cars, that is.
