R230 Roof issue

Hi,
I have a low mileage 2009 SL300 R230.

Today I tried to take the roof down for the first time since the winter and it doesn’t work. If I try to open the roof with the boot separator open then I get the message on the dash to tell me to close it, so that works ok. But once the boot separator is closed the roof open switch does nothing. There’s no noise from the pump, no error message at all, just silence.

the battery is ok as all other items work, the roll bar works also, just silence from the roof mechanism.

any ideas what this could be?

thanks
Ken

No consumers offline message? Do all of your windows work and have you renormalized them? Is the red light on your trunk release button on?

Hi mate, windows are fine and there’s no light on trunk release.

Those were the easy things to check without tools. Next step is to scan it and check all of the roof opening requirements.

If your rollbar is functional, I would say your pump is working.

Try cycling the rollbar few more times and if there's a leakage in the system, you will know eventually. Check your tank fluid level closely. The idea is if there's a leakage, fluid level will drops. Hold the rollbar switch a bit longer once it travels to one end and you should hear the pump keep on running. Any mulfunction display on dash?
