Mike.. Thanks for the all of the tips here. So I took the mechanism out again, I believe I had the servo style control arm with the ball and cup connection on the end, I believe I had that connected to the mechanism wrong. Instead of left to right, I had it going in right to left. So I changed that and reassembled and boom, no red light when I activated the soft close. So put it all back together and the top opens! How thankful I am! So my last question is, how do I know if the trunk closes too tight? When I open the trunk it pops a little when it releases. Does this sound correct? If not, should I make a slight adjustment or just leave it?
