Lumbar Support in 2008 SL600

Hello All.

I'm the proud new owner of a 2008 SL600 with AMG 321 sport package, 50K on the clock, black on black. Beautiful car.

I took it for my first joy-ride today. Of course, it was an amazing experience.

However, my back hurt throughout the entire ride. Most uncomfortable.

The lumbar support was jutting into my back the entire ride, and it felt extremely firm.

I looked at the manual, and it says there is a "thumb switch" that I can adjust from (I believe) 0 to 5.

Here is my question: where is the switch to adjust the lumbar support? I can't find it anywhere!

Your help will be appreciated. As things stand (or sit) now, there is no way I can take a long trip in this beautiful car.

Many thanks!

Base of the seat. If you have Multicontour seats it is a multifunction seat, not a simple dial.

There is a black square with lots of buttons on the lower left of the seat (more or less near my left knee).

Is this what you mean?

Many thanks.

Congratulations on your new car. Did the Owner's Manual come with it? If not, go Online and download one. There's a lot of information in there.

Yes, that is multicontour. You can adjust position and amount of lumbar, shoulder support, side supports, and it has a pretty decent massage function (pulse). Lumbar is the largest button with up/down arrows for position and +/- buttons for inflation.
