Can someone please give me some direction here. My trunk lid will open up to allow the roof to fold in but neither of the two flaps will open. My roll bar goes up and down. I see the lock at the top of the roof opens to unlatch from the front frame. The small windows go up and down as they are supposed to. I see no leaks in any cylinders. I have checked fuses and did not find any blown fuses. I took the drive mechanism on each side for the flaps and they look fine no wear or damaged teeth in the drive. Could there be a fuse specificly for the flap motor? Where is it located? I do not have a code reader so I am trying everything. The pump is fine and not leaking in the trunk.
Any ideas?
Here is the update- I took the flaps off and adjusted them manually to the open position. This allowed the roof to open half way but would not continue to fold into the trunk. It must be either the flap drive motor or a few sensors that will not allow for the normal function of the roof.
Still looking for any additional ideas to check.
I looked for the S119 behind the drivers side tail light. I was confused as to what I needed to look for. I found no broken plastic no cylinder leaks no bent wires. Is this the area you were talking about?
I had intermittent roof issues on my 2007. Change the three relays and see if it gets better. Cheap and easy test that worked for me.
My old relays were missing the contactor pads.... strange.
