SL/R230: Pulsation Dampener
I finally got around to replacing the pulsation dampener today. I had a lot of trouble getting the wrench around the bolt to get it off. YT and online instructions stated a 24MM wrench is needed which I confirmed because it fit around the new repalcement part perfectly (before I installed it)
What was mind boggling is why I couldn't get the 24mm wrench around the dampener to get it OUT of the car. I had to use a 27MM which I still had to push in really hard to get it around the bolt and eventually got it off.
Once I took the dampener out, the 27MM was to large and the 24MM was a perfect size.
I didn't see the wrench hitting anything so I was banging my head trying to figure out why I couldn't get the wrench to fit around the bolt
Right now I have the new dampener installed but hand tightened because I can't find the right wrench to tighten it. Even adjustable wrenches wouldn't turn it
very confused....
In the pictures below, I tried with a 24MM and 25MM wrench and as you can see, it doesn't want to lock in

I know that the front and rear accumalators need the car to be off the ground on jack stands and the bleed nipple needs cracked to release any residual pressure.
I'm worried abt just removing the pulsation dampener in case there's some pressure in the system.
