Trunk latch issue

Here's a new one guys. This summer I noticed at times AFTER putting the vario roof up OR down the next time I tried to raise or lower it I got the white dash warning. All I had to do was open the trunk and gently slam it shut and then it would work, whether putting it up or down. Clearly each time the trunk lid pivots up to raise or lower the roof it doesn't seem latch securely. What sensor is there near the latch (119 sounds familiar?) that isn't sensing the trunk is completely closed and needs to be gently slammed shut manually to rest itself? Thanks

There are two switches in the trunk latch that need to be made for the roof to operate. One is the first 'click' of the latch which is the switch that starts the soft close. The second is the fully latched position, once the soft close pulls the trunk closed. I'm not sure why your trunk isn't staying latched, but those are the switches.

Try checking the latch is not requiring adjustment, its easy to do, there are 2 bolts at the latch and there are two outer rubber supports with one bolt all have adjustment.
