does not start on first crank
I have a 2003 sl500/R230 It is taking multiple tries to get it to start. Does not matter if it is hot or cold. It does start on first try 1 out of about 3 tries. I had a Crankshaft Position Sensor code when it first happened. I replaced it with the Bosch part. Since it has 93,000 miles I also replaced the valve cover gaskets, plugs, wires and coil packs at the same time. Now it went from won't start when hot, CPS symptom, to starts after several tries, usually 3. I did not change fuel filter or any fuel system parts. I did put a new MAF in. It has been driven approx 250 miles since this work was done and still behaves the same. I did that to see if it needed to relearn anything after parts change. It still has all the power, no misses and is not experiencing any loss or gain of mileage.
Any ideas of what I should look at. It has no new engine codes or errors since parts change.

Check fuel pressure and pressure drop when engine is shut down. Will it restart immediately after shut down?
