SL500
Instrument cluster, VSS, TCM, final drive ratio...

Life-long gearhead, new to Mercs..

The sitch:
-I've an SL500 receiving an M11k (I've an entire W220 donor).
-I'm swapping-in an entire SL55 rearend cradle/assembly (2.82 fdr)
-I'd prefer the W220k 2.65 fdr
-I'm planning to max the map sensor (17.xx?) by blow-drying the supercharger (and bypassing it just before max psi via valves)
-I'm going to engineer/adapt a full manual transmission.

Questions:
-For anyone versed in turbocharging, you understand the W220 fdr desire. Any reason the W220 diff/gears would not agree with the R230 housing?
-Could I swap the W220 TCM into the SL500 1for1 and the rest of the car be none the wiser (eg, ECM, instrument cluster)? This implies that I'd at least temporarily be using the auto trans.
-Where is the vehicle speed sensor/pickup located on these cars (in reference to the manual swap later)?
-What do I do about the instrument cluster? SL500 meets W220 ECU and FDR (gears) meets manual transmission...

I've tried to get info out of tuners (1 local) only to be ignored for months (not that I don't understand busy+everyone's hypothetical projects questions). I can't tell you how much I appreciate any details, even small, that you can offer as I need to get a move on and am Merc cross-eyed..

Do you have a good Mercedes scan tool, a copy of the WIS, and a copy of the EPC?

I've started with an icarsoft v3. Obviously just a scan tool and not even close to tuning. I'm from the "LS1 Live" era (not new to tuning in general) but super green to MB and all of its fun quirks lol.

The R230's as the whole S-class range that years range have OEM manual trans setting, just need to code that in
For the CL65-CL600, as over 1000nm torque, a BWM v12 manual trans worked just welding a MB bell housing
If you want to go very crazy on the engine, you can achieve that with a standalone ECU not required if you remain reasonable with just a stage 3
Nothing needed apart from coding on the instrument cluster
