Glad you're enjoying the car and the fact that you say it's your favorite- that speaks volumes.
My Z06 buddies always want me to get one, but I have zero interest.

To add the C6 Z platform is a serious track focused machine. It’s not easy and requires focus to handle at even 7/10’s. The light weight high revving nature of the Ls7 is incredible too. Just need to be in the right mood with plenty of rest. Like mine with heads/cam/intake and the more you rev the more reward. Of course the trade offs are every mustang gt and her sister want to race in the street, not as comfortable or quiet as the SL65, and the greatest difference good or bad is the gear box experience. I am thinking about selling her and picking up a latest Gen GTs AMG as that car is a mid/front engine rear transaxle architecture, has exotic material strategy, and seems to be a more luxury focused version of what this Z pioneered. Let’s see how the market is on selling these, stay tuned.

Thank you for posting these fabulous pictures, you have one of the greatest cars ever made in the history of cars. Mine is only a 2003 SL55 AMG, LoL but it's the exact same car that Mario Andretti drove to 208MPH and when he got out of the car he had a huge smile and aid the car was "awesome, awesome". The only difference is that one was silver and mine is black. I really love the car, out of all the cars I've owned, over the years it is my favorite.

thanks…I agree. Since owning her, I have only taken the ZO6 out once. Sad but true. I just love how easy she is on the fly for a quick errand or cruise. This has probably been my best ownership experience to date. The last decade I’ve had about 30 cars including 4 911 Turbos, 3 Nissan GTRs, and some high horse powered M113k AMG cars. This R230 65 is the pinnacle for all round for sure. I thought I would miss the 2+2 of the 911 Turbo but I really don’t with the other family cars. Going to go give all of them a nice clean up today. Have a great one gents!

Thought about putting larger turbos on mine but I didn't want to ship my car off to SpeeDriven for the conversion. If I remember correctly, their place burned down and they went out of business. I'd imagine someone else could do the custom work. Looked like a simple but larger log style manifold with larger turbos tucked in by the engine. It's an engine out of the car type job so if you have to do the engine mounts........

2 questions.
Have you taken your renntech to a meet, or carshow as a display?
Would it be considered stock, or modified, or somewhere in between?

That’s a great question. I’m not sure how to answer. Ive taken it to Scottsdale cars and coffee and a few local meets at a friends shop with lots of German cars from stock to hyper modified. I would think it would be considered lightly modified since it’s been all ala carte parts I’ve had upgraded trying to just keep her tasteful and not over done.

Almost 20yr old OG Xenon bulbs were tired…so went with the Torch Beam D2S 6000K Xenon replacement bulbs, which I have great history with in many of my other cars (HID or LED). The rest of the bulbs are fresh OE stockers from my dealer.
