Driver’s Door Locks and Hydraulic Roof Runs On Their Own –Why?????
Why does the driver’s side door lock by itself right after I close the door (or close the trunk lid)? More important is why does the hydraulic roof start running for about 30 seconds, and sometimes does it a few times. I think when I open the trunk lid or have it open it runs like that.
Some background… My roof is stuck down/open and locked. I had the pump rebuilt, and have replaced all cylinders with Top Hydraulics rebuilds. I replaced the front latch assemblies. I put too much stop leak in the pump a few years ago. I have replaced most of the old fluid. I wonder if seal debris is stuck in the valve body. Maybe some of the rebuilt seals have gone bad over the 4 years that I installed all new rebuilt cylinders. The roof operated periodically over the years. The latest failures have been during the opening cycle getting stuck. I switched roof relays.
It is weird that it seems electrical with the pump running, and pneumatic with the door locking.
