How do I test OPEN CIRCUIT, N52, S69/2 & S92/3 with a Multimeter? 374 Vario roof INTE
How do I test OPEN CIRCUIT, N52, S69/2 & S92/3 with a Multimeter? 374 Vario roof INTERLOCKED NOT RECOGNIZED
How do I test OPEN CIRCUIT at N52 Vario Roof Module connector? DAS tells me that actual value 374 Vario roof INTERLOCKED NOT RECOGNIZED may be caused by S69/2 & S92/3 limit switches with OPEN CIRCUIT or SHORT CIRCUIT TO GROUND.
DAS says Resistor <3 Ohm.
Switch off ignition.
Disconnect connector (N52) 1.
Upside down T –Ohm+ 1.44 (N52)
Fault code B1263-001 is current, or a RELEVANT ACTUAL VALUE IS NOT OK.
The vario roof is locked.
The multimeter manual says to turn the meter on 200mA setting. I think this is 200m on the DCA scale. Now where do I touch the positive and negative leads??????????
There is also a test using the wires at the yellow connector in the trunk for the S69/2&3. Isn’t this the short test? How do I do the tests for open or short circuits using those wires?
Of course the next question is how do I test the SHORT CIRCUIT TO GROUND? This test requires that the vario roof is not locked. So, with the roof not moving at all, and locked, that is a later test.

Hi Plutoe,
Thank you for your help. I am busy with multiple priorities now. So, I took little time to explain things in response to your questions. I am using a DAS system from the early 2000s, I think, maybe earlier. I typed the first test in my original post above from DAS. My pictures are too large for this site; and I haven't taken the time and effort to cut down the size. In effect I did what you said before you said it. I clicked on the fault line, hit enter or the f3 button until I got to the open circuit test that I typed in above. The instructions included with my cen-tech multimeter came from China. Something was lost in translation. They wrote use 200 mA AND SHOULD HAVE SAID 200 M on the Ohm dial. I googled how to use this meter and got some entirely different procedures.
How would you troubleshoot the fault 374 Vario roof INTERLOCKED NOT RECOGNIZED? The roof is locked open/down. It quit working on the opening cycle with the flaps open and trunk lid pointing up. I lowered the trunk lid, locked the latches in the trunk closed with the allen key.
