Hydraulic Pump

My 2004 SL55 AMG (R230) hydraulic pump is oriented such that I cannot tighten the hose clamp (red arrow in attached picture).
I believe all I want to do is rotate the plastic reservoir without making a mess.
There seems to be one allen head bolt (1.) and some plastic "plug" (2.).
Any secrets on how to loosen up/rotate/retighten the hoseclamp/reservoir?
Thanks,
Tom

Tom, by what I can see in the picture, you just need to remove the spare tire to access the hose clamp bolt..! Otherwise you would have to remove the 4 nuts holding the whole assembly in place and lift it for access. Screws 1 and 2 has nothing to do with the hose clamp and reservoir holding.

Thanks, I don't know how it was installed because the hose clamp bolt is facing away/under the clear reservoir...I will investigate accessing it. :-(

To rotate the plastic reservoir on your SL55 AMG (R230), first loosen the allen head bolt (1) to release the reservoir. Then, remove the plastic plug (2). Once the bolt and plug are removed, gently rotate the reservoir to the desired position. After that, retighten the hose clamp, reattach the plug, and secure the allen bolt again. Be careful not to spill hydraulic fluid during the process.
