Parking light assembly
Anyone know where I can find this part? It's the bulb assembly for the parking light and, I think, the high beam. The wires are all frayed and I think this is why my left parking light isn't working. I tried the bulb from the other side that works to make sure it wasn't a bulb issue. I know I can buy the whole assembly but I'd really prefer to not buy that is I can just find this piece.

I've asked around and it seems that this piece is part of the headlight assembly. I think I'll try to repair the wiring and if I butcher that I'll buy the assembly.
If I was going to attempt to tape it, I would use some of the self vulcanizing tape. That stuff welds itself together and won't unwrap over time, unlike normal electrical tape. We used it inside of (gasoline) fuel cells on aircraft and even in that environment it still held together. You have to CARVE it off to get it apart after it sets up. Be sure and follow the instructions when you install it. You have to stretch it to make it adhere properly.
