SL/R230: Navigation DVD

2007 MBZ SL550
Navigation DVD
I own a 2007 SL550, and I'm pretty sure that the Nav DVD is from the same year. I want to update the DVD to the present year of 2024. I'm guessing that's something I can pick up at an MBZ dealership or, hopefully, a non-dealership.

@Frederick NL has a good thread on this subject. Seems for some vehicles (I believe the CL, S, and SL) Mercedes stated the later map versions would not work even though these vehicles use the same version of Comand (APS NTG1) as the CLS, E, and SLK the only physical difference being the latter models have a built in single CD drive. I believe the former models were made by Siemens while latter models were made by Becker, but not 100% sure on this info. The part number is A2118270901 for the final V19 DVD. Might be able to find used originals on eBay or other sites as the HERE maps site no longer has maps for NTG1, NTG2, and NTG3.

When I bought my 2007 SL550 I ordered a DVD map disk I believe it was 2017 on Ebay (legit ?). It did not list SL series but did list S class so I took a chance. It loaded on the second attempt and seems to work fine ever since but I never use the SL for many trips to the unknown.
Still antiquated by todays standards so WAZE is now default.
