2007 MBZ SL550
Front Bumper
I'm not sure this is where to post this question, but here goes. I own a 2007 SL550, and I'm looking for a new or used front bumper. I have been looking around, and it seems that the going price is around $1400.00. So, if someone can please point me to an excellent place to purchase one, preferably well under $1400.00, I would greatly appreciate it.

If I remember right, you are in LA. Several Euro specialist salvage yards near you. Search car-part.com with your zip and see what is available. I believe '07-08 are unique, not high production, and there are several versions (w/wo parktronic, w/wo sport package), so it might take a little searching.

I've ordered several R-230 parts from various junkyards around the country and generally I've had good look with them. I haven't ordered anything as big as a complete bumper but everything that I've ordered has been very well packed and all of it arrived safely. Just take a close look at the pictures that they post and read their descriptions and don't take anything for granted. If you're not sure of something then don't be afraid to ask questions or ask for clarification.
Ebay is your friend here. I was looking for one body part that no one had so I contacted all of the dealers that had any 2004 R-230 parts and asked about the part and finally found what I needed. Also if anything is not as described Ebay/PP will refund your money.
IMO If you're within driving distance and can pick up the bumper in person you should be able to get a considerable discount since the seller won't have to deal with packing and shipping.
