SL/R230: 03/SL500 side marker lamps

03/SL500 side marker lamps
So I changed out the yellow covers to clear, looks way better. Easy to do. What do these lights do? Are they connected to the turn signals, I have never seen them lit. I tried all light knob options nothing. Is there a fuse if so where. I have no faults on the dash and everything else light wise works. Any direction would be appreciated. Thx

They are connected to the daytime running lights of the vehicle so the 2nd notch to the right of the OFF position. They also should turn on with your headlamps either on auto or ON.
