'01 CLK 430 cab, '04 SL500 (200K miles)
Help removing starter
I can't figure out how to remove this fastener holding these cables. The fastener/clamp seems to be firmly attached to the starter housing. I can't figure out how to release it's hold on the cables.
It's probably something easy but I'm not seeing it.

Guess I shudda looked at the WIS, clearly shows what to do. Would have never of thought to push it forward.

SL 350 R230 (3.7L with AMG Speedshift autobox)
It is tight down there, My cable was attached differently this video is what I did:

Very good video Ian. My starter is on the other side of the engine so it's a bit different.

thats because they must have made a mistake and put the steering wheel on the wrong side!? those crazy Germans
