Star C3 Diagnose with openport 2.0. Does this work?
I am offered a Star C3 (i think) for a cheap price
I am sure that the laptop is an real old antique.
This version of Star C3 diagnosis only work offline.
What is included is the lap top with the software, the cables but the person that sells this says it does not come with the multiplexer but a Openport 2.0 that connect to the car like a multiplexer.
I have never heard of the Star system using anything other than the multiplxer and i have never heard of Openport 2.0 before.
Is openport 2.0 working like the Multiplexer? If not how does openport 2.0 work?
Is the Star C3 with Openport 2.0 anything to go for at all?
I might know of an multiplexer for sale cheap when i think of it. I guess i will need a multiplexer that is made for Star C3 if i buy an multiplexer?
This is what the sllers says about the Star system: Mercedes / Star / Xentry / DAS diagnostic program, version 09.2023 with a licence lisens to 2040, comes with a laptop and openport 2.0

Openport 2 is very slow and limited, is will not access all the modules in a r230 SL.
The term C3 actually refers to an old style multiplexer. This is cabled (no WiFi) and need a RS232 serial COM port on the laptop, C3s are also slow but will connect OK to a r230 SL.
