I had the flap hinge failure so I ordered the E-Bay kit for $11.00 dollars and fixed the problem. You'll need a Dremel Drill and plastic epoxy from Lowes. I had to "adjust" the spring so it wrapped around the new post, a little higher tension than stock but it works better. I used clamps to set the glue after I set the adjustment on where I wanted the hinge to sit. You can see where the old hinge has to be ground down.
