SL/R230: Central locking issue

So nothing locks at all, doors, interior compartments, fuel door? How about with the dash buttons? If you lock a door manually, will it unlock with either the fob or the dash button? There are a number of things that can go wrong with the PSE. One function working means that it isn't dead, but doesn't mean it is fully functional.

They all have soft close. I thought that your first post meant that it was working. The first stage of the trunk latch is mechanical and the second stage is the soft close pneumatic pull down. If you have no pneumatic functions, you might have a motor or impeller issue. Usually this will blow the fuse and you won't have communication with the PSE module and you will get a 'close trunk divider' warning when you try to open the roof. If it had water in the trunk, you probably have a ruined PSE module.

Try pulling the fuse behind the seat to see if it resets, but otherwise I would suspect the PSE pump impeller is broken too, check the pump by pulling the plug and re connecting to see if it feels like its turning okay.
