I have a 2007 SL550 that I picked up this summer, has 70k, thing ran perfectly then began to run rough at low idle intermittently, then the next time you would start it it seemed to run perfectly, i brought it to my independent mechanic, it showed some misfire codes, so he replaced a coil, then it showed a misfire on a different cylinder, also shows a left and right exhaust cam code on the machine, Mechanic suggested i sdo some research or bring it to the MB dealership. So, I a giving it a shot here, is this a MAF sensor? any advice is appreciated!

Hello, I have the same year model and it has 68k, this past summer it was running similarly to what you described, but I didn’t feel comfortable driving it, so flatbed it went to my mechanic. It was the camshaft sensor. It was an inexpensive fix-<$300. Good luck!Originally Posted by tdurepo

Thanks for the advice, I am having my guy put new plugs and wires on, and we will add this to the list of pre storage maintenance.
