SL320 engine sound

I have a throaty sound inside my car lol!
it is nice but 100% not normal as the last one I had was perfectly quiet.
Just had engine mounts done and suspension, brakes etc but still the same.
I still believe a slight vibration on start up.
I had a e350 and remember this sound but I can't remember what the mechanic at the time did.
Whatever it was it wasn't is was over $1000. Then it was quiet. I actually like the sound however not normal and mechanic I used did not pick it up. Oh mine a v6

2005 R 230 SL350 (M112 3.7). Sold the 1966 W113 230SL recently
Someone may have removed silencers from the exhaust system.

Yeh but it sounds very much like the last v6 I had and I like it but that mechanic said no no no. I hesitate to go back to him because I didn't use him for this car but he is a fantastic mechanic.

You’re hesitant to go back, but you might need to. Ask if any of the exhaust system components had to be disconnected while working on the motor mount? Or if it’s possible that something just got dislodged allowing air to escape from the exhaust and creating that deeper tone.

By the way, so far you haven’t been definitive in when it started to occur. Did you notice it just after the motor mount work was done?

It was mention to mechanic before but it's the same sound and this sound is same sound I had on my e350 but I can't remember what it was. It's not something you would know if you don't know these cars and mechanic is working on general cars not specific. I like the sound and when my e350 was fixed I went and got a muffler change to make louder however it wasn't throaty like this.

Google "mercedessource" for YouTube videos - Kent did the conversion and put together a kit with instructions. Cheers Socks
