I just paid for a 3 year Mercedes warranty for $2,590. My local dealer was going to charge me $2,590 for 2 years. The 2 year warranty from Lisa on a SL500 would cost $2,190.

What does the extended warranty cover? I'll probably keep the car for 6-7 years, a 3-year extended warranty would definitely be desirable. (Never keep a German car after warranty, learned my lesson.) Is there anything in the original 4/50k warranty that's not included in the extended?

There is a warranty plan that you can purchase after the first 12 months of ownership, You will pay a lot more for the warranty, and it will cover the radio and command. I do not know if it a Mercedes warranty.
The MB standard extended warranty that can only be purchase within the first 12 moths of ownership does not cover the command and radio.
Just give the number that is posted a call and ask her.

Not a bad deal Tiggerfink; however I would recommend, in the future, that you bargain that in as part of the initial deal.
When I bought mine we negotiated the price on the car - and then the price on the warranty. I got my 3/50,000 extension for $1800.00. Most dealers have the ability to negotiate just about any price for that warranty - if they refuse to deal it's because they want a bigger profit on the warranty itself.

extended warranty is somthing no one should be without its like an insurance policy you know somthing might never happen but if somthing major happens be sure that its going to cost you more than that $3000 you spent on the warranty so its always good to get it
