2007 CL 550

Head Unit Visibility

i have Poor visibility of head unit screen screen due to glare. My SL 55o has a pioneer head unit. Any solutions/ Are there any head units with better visibility?

I have tried two other "cheap" units and neither seemed very bright. Basically not visible with top down.

Same issue with my Sceicane unit. Would love to find a brighter unit.

I've got a Pioneer head unit in mine, too. I found visibility is a lot better with non-polarized sunglasses. Still not great, but much better. LCD screens usually have an integral polarizing filter; when that is combined with polarizing sunglasses it results in very poor visibility.

Otherwise, you could get a brand new SL - their infotainment display has a motorized tilt control. Problem solved for only ~$150K or so
