Screen visibility
Greetings all. Is there a sunshade made for the display screen in a 2007 sl550?
My car has a Pioneer head unit with a reverse camera but it is virtually not visible on a sunny day. I can’t see radio stations or anything on the screen. Even with the top up. Poor poor me!!!

I have same problem, but my screen is totally visible with top up!
First check that the screen brightness is adjusted to maximum.
Then check the car light settings are not putting the head unit into night mode (dimming the screen). (using DRL setting in cluster puts lights on mode, so I turn this off in the head unit)..
On a sunny day, with top down screen is impossible to see due to the angle and limited brightness on the lcd, so I use my mobile phone as a screen (android auto) and mount it in front of the head unit tilted down to reduce glare.
I tried one head unit that had variable angle screen, but it only tilted upwards (worse) not downwards!
I tried fabricating a hood with card, but it needs to be so big it was totally impractical to fit!
I have tried everything else (anti glare films), and looked for high quality LED head unit displays, but can not find anything else that works. If there was a head unit that used the same screen as most modern mobiles it would work great, but so far none exist!
If you find something that works, please post it here!
