Forgot to say that he have connected and the SLK airbag on his SL, R230!
He bought and have installed a 3 spoke steering wheel from SLK on his early Mercedes SL, R230. But the problem is that the steering wheel buttons on the "new" steering wheel does not work.
I think his Mercedes SL R230 is a Japan version if that matters.
The symbols on the new steering wheel is identical to the original SL R230 steering wheel.
He told me that that he had to modify/cut a little part off of the connector that comes from the buttons on the SLK steering wheel so the connector would fit.
Any here on the forum knows why the steering wheel buttons does work?
