Digital factory Service Manual for '04 SL500?
I will appreciate your recommendations for the purchase of a digital service and parts manual for my '04 SL500. I have read many sales descriptions, claims, and reviews from outside this forum, but now I ask for you opinion.

Mercedes produce to products called WIS?ASRA (workshop manual and information) and EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue). They both can come packaged in a program called EWA.
These are the go to products when working on the cars and have diagnostic procedures, disassembly/Reasembly instructions, servicing information, spare parts torque settings, electrical drawings, basically everything a Mercedes garage needs to know about repairing and maintaining Mercedes cars.
Unfortunately it is an enormous repository, as it has information for just about every modern Mercedes sold! (420Gb of data). It is not possible to split it up by models, so it is all or nothing!
Two ways to use this are to buy a VM (Virtual machine ) installation and install free VM software and install the EWA software into it.(easier than it sounds). the result is slower and can be a little "clunky" to use, but will give all information you need
The other way to do this is to purchase the software, and using a key generator directly install it to a PC/Laptop. This is a much easier, faster installation to use, but needs knowledge to install and configure (search online for instructions and sources for the files.). I used a spare 1Tb hdd in my desktop to store the data.
