A friend of mine sent me the pictures of a new latch for the armrest lid

The part on the picture for sure looks like the correct part. The Mercedes part number is: A 230 680 16 39
But i am sure this part is out of production at Mercedes

I have never seen this part before and if they sell the part i would assume there is a way to replace the old broken latch

Not that i need one since i bought a new armrest lid with a perfect latch in the same interior colour as my SL R230

Any here knows how to replace the latch that sits in the armrest lid?

Any here on the forum that knows how you access the broken latch in the armrest to you can swap out the broken latch for a new one?

I have never read or heard of anybody that have opened the underside and replaced the latch on the armrest lid.

Any here on the forum that think`s it possible to open the lid and access the lock where the yellow arrows point towards?
