leaking strut

Here's my question. I am getting code C1525-004 and one of the rear struts appears to be "weeping". Can I change only the "weeping" strut or do I have to hange both rear struts at the same time?

I have changed a single rear strut with no issues on a 2003 SL500. Ironically, the strut was an Arnott rebuit unit - the only non-orginal strut on the car. I went with an used strut vice another Arnott. Highly recommend you use the instructions by 99TT - no need to remove all that trunk stuff! Cheers Socks
