SL/R230: OPTICAL DECODER & BYPASS LOOPS

I HAVE DECIDED TO BITE THE BULLET AND REPLACE THE OLD COMMAND 2.0 WITH AN ANDROID SYSTEM. HAVE MOST OF THE INFO, BUT WOULD LIKE TO KNOW:
1.-HOW MANY LOOPS DO I NEED. MALES OR FEMALES?
2.-I ASSUME I HAVE 3 ITEM S IN THE LOOP, THE COMMAND, THE CD AND THE TELEMATIC. WONDER WHERE THE TELEMATIC IS LOCATED.
3.-DOES ANYONE HAVE AN OPTICAL LOOP SCHEMATIC?
THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Are you going to keep the original amplifier?
If all the other components on the fiber are OK then you can just leave them connected and will be fine. However if you read about the D2B system, it can be awkward, and some people find they need to connect the D2B adapter direct to the amplifier with a singe fibre cable (loop).
Another option is to remove the D2B completely, and wire the new headunit either to a new amplifier, or directly to the speaker cables after removing the original amplifier behind driver/passenger seat.
You only need "loops" if you are removing components from the fiber system to "fill in the gap" of the missing component in the fiber loop.
That means most likely not a MOST fiber connection, you will need D2B fiber converter and you will need to follow the Seicane install video shared earlier as you will most likely also require a 6M cable run from dash to rear CD changer area.
