Need Contact Information of SL Guys To Obtain BCM Substitution Module
I have a 2004 MB Sl500 with the Red Battery "Visit Work Shop" Icon. I made the mistake of not connecting the rear battery when I started the vehicle but instead of getting the consumers battery offline, I got the Visit Work Shop Icon. I immediately shut the vehicle and disconnected the negative terminal of the starter battery then reconnected that first before connecting the rear battery.
I erased the error code using xentry system but after I start the car for 30 seconds, the red icon returns and I am unable to erase the waring message. The vehicle runs great and the last fluids I have to change are the vario roof hydraulic fluid and the antifreeze.
I have checked the charging circuits, with the motor idling, of the Starter Battery and the Auxiliary Battery and both indicate charging the batteries at around 13.9 -14.2 volts.
I would like to replace the BCM with the one I read about on the forum from someone named "Brian and SL guys". I do not have a face book account, but I have a relative who does and would like contact information in order to purchase one of these modules.
Any help with this would greatly be appreciated.

Why not just create a FB account for this? It's free and takes a couple of minutes.
There's a group specific to the BCM subject with a lot of valuable info, and you can contact Brian Wallace directly via FB Messenger to source one of these replacement units.
It's all legit. I have the unit and the access panel sitting on my desk awaiting install in the near future.

I can confirm that it's all legit. Brian is a great guy and will walk you through confirming for sure if it's a BCM issue or not. But, yes, you will need (or someone who has) a facebook account.
