Wing mirror condensating

One wing mirror turn signal is dry the other has droplets of water inside it.
Does anyone know if they are sealed units?

I check mine very closely and can't say that I've seen that. Sounds like a problem.

I'd bring it back to the dealer and ask that it be fixed. Over time, when water keeps getting in there it will start to look bad.

Don't take anything less from the dealer short of having the problem completely fixed. If they tell you that happens or its normal; don't take it. Water should never get into parts of the vehicle effecting it's appearance.

That lens is replaceable separately from the door mirror and it sounds like it's not correctly seated on the seal. The dealer should be able to remove it and replace it. Make sure it's dry in there before it goes back in otherwise the moisture will be trapped in there.

It's not a lens, it's a complete unit. Oh yeah, "lens", "unit", whatever.

Anyhow, the fact is that it is pretty much open to moisture on the other side. The seal against the mirror doesn't do much to prevent moisture entering as it can just enter from the other side. The whole indicator can be replaced, and replacing it will not trap moisture inside.

I've seen a new CL with the same problem on both sides.
I'll get the dealer to take a look.

I just checked my '04 CL and I have the problem in one of my mirrors. I plan to have it checked once the rain stops here.
