Condensation?
Wonder if you get heavy condensation on the front screen like me?
Air temp is dropping to below freezing just now and find the front screen gets heavy condensation, so bad the blower can't clear it quick enough.

Hey BlueSL - that was a quick reply!
Thing is the inside isn't warm, though will be warmer than the outside. Just the diff in temp maybe?
Trust you'd a nice Christmas and New Year.

Use the dehumidifier button, should be a complete square with three lines, see the attached pic, the button as decribed is in the middle of the AC cluster, top row, far right....And use hot air....you can get it down to around 22C once it clears and you will enjoy relaxed temp with clean screens....

I'll have to go out and check but I thought the RH button was the rear screen and mirrors and LH for windscreen? Clears OK for light condensation but just lately I'm having to wipe the screen which is unusual.

I had a Skoda once where you had to do that. If you put it on demist/defrost (and it is the left one, since it looks slightly more line the windscreen, the right button is heated rear window) you should get a blast of hot air when the engine has warmed up. No good blowing the hot air around if it cannot escape, hence my advice to open the window by 1 inch for a few minutes to let the air escape.

It wouldn't be the first time one of these cars has mis-behaved, though heating and ventilation have not been much of an issue. Always a first time though....

Nup, first thing I checked was for dampness. Once engine heats up I get a blast OK but I'd have to sit for about 30 mins to clear the screen. Maybe it's just the outside temp dropping? Loads of snow today so can't wait to slither home. Can now verify the traction control works fine though!

I will like to know for how are the buttons that your car has around the mirror adjust because in US our car use only 3 buttons and your car use 5. starting from left we don't have the second and third buttons.

3rd one is to fold the mirrors, 2nd one to switch off internal alarm? Can't remember if my 2005 SL's the same. Think the photo's from an earlier model as there are a couple of differences in my console. Also, no cupholders in the photo?

My windscreen is similar, takes to long to clear.
Even after demisting the mist can reappear. Not sure what's happening.
I put mine down to low use at the moment, dampness is present.
The salt is doing me no favours.
Roll on Summer
My front demist button is on the left.
Lovin, the windows down an inch does the trick

Hi Scotsman, hopefully not a 'stating the obvious' reply...
I find a thorough clean with Autoglym Glass Polish (not the Quick Glass) not only keeps the screen clear but also prevents condensation...
Then all you have to do is not touch the screen with anything and it should last a few months.
Hope that helps.
PS I live in Edinburgh!
