Sirius Antena
Our local MBCA club had a tech session at our local dealership. The owner of the dealership spoke to us and had a show and tell of all the models.
I also found out that Mercedes owns a big interest in Sirius. And Mercedes will have a new Sirius antenna that will be like the telaid antenna on my 2002 SLK 320. The antenna will be the same color as your car and be on top of the trunk.

Not very often, but it does happen. Given that performance, the antenna would really have to look good for me to change.

Antenna
I would like to see a good antenna for the satelite radio, the current dealer option is terrible. They tried to talk me into it, but when I saw it on another car at the dealer, one look and the decision was no.
I can't believe they didn't incorporate the antenna into the car as a standard part of the vehicle, so you don't have to put a block on the middle of the trunk.

The dealer told me that the antenna would match the paint on your car. They said the new antenna would work on the 2003 SL and up. But we have to wait and see, since I was misinformed on the phones. Like your mirrors, I found out that you have to order the side mirrors to the color of your car.
Here is a picture of the tel-aid antenna on my 2002 SLK 320.
