Has anyone here had any experience with the dealer known as Bentley Downer's Grove with a URL of luxurymotors.com?

I am considering buying an SL600 from them and it is always an interesting proposition to buy an expensive car from someone you don't know and you don't get to see it in person before you pay for it.

Also, I understand why a new SL600 has terrible lease rates- relatively low residuals due to big time depreciation, but why does a year old car that costs $30-40K less than new have the same problem?

I guess you can tell where I am going with this one, I want my SL600 but I don't want the financial pain that comes with it.

I have heard some horror stories from them, I know of a guy who purchased a lexus from them with a salvaged title, only they did not disclose this info to him at the time of purchase. I do not know what the result of the situation was but I know they were not willing to give him his money back right away. I think I still have the email, if I can find it I will pm to you.

Wait a few months and I will make you a deal on My 2005 SL600. I am in the process of ordering a new 2006, dealer is supposed to let me know when they can physically place the order and when I can realistically expect to get it produced.

I don't know of anything different in the 2006 versus the 2005 for sure, there is a lot of speculation about various things, but it's mostly speculation. The car is great, I just want to get another toy. If I trade with the dealer I will get creamed, so I will sell it to someone for a fair price.

What amazes me is how hard it is to get these cars brand new. Trying to get an SL65 seems to be almost impossible.

StephenK what kind of discount does your dealer give you on the SL 600? SL 65's arent that hard to find.

Thank you one and all for your help on this. All successful relationships must be based on mutual trust and it doesn't sound like a beautiful friendship is looming for me with these guys.

I will stick with the people I know and trust (they are bad enough!).
