water leak when washing car

I am extremely happy with my car. Drove it last weekend in pouring rain no issue.

I hand washed the car on Sunday and noticed water dripping down the inside of the glass on both the passenger and drivers side. The drip was in the same position on both sides.

Directly below where the convertible top meets the car frame. The motto is probably be careful how hard the stream of water is when washing.

Other than that, 0 issues.

Are you referring to the windows or the windshield? In either event, thank you for the tip. I've washed my SL a few time by hand, but I try not to direct the (low power electric power) washer directly into the joints (and there are a lot of them on this car). I kind of hit them at at 45-60 degree angle just to make sure no soap remains.....

I have a tip of my own when it comes to washing the SL550. Don't wash the car with the keys on your person. Here's why. The stream of water coming from your hose / pressure washer can set off the motion sensor under the trunk -- and open your trunk while you are back there! Happened to me.
