Parking brake
 
Hi folks, when you stop in my car I just press P and she goes into park,
when I want to pull away I just put into D, and the parking brake releases
and I pull away. So what's the handle for where on my old SL it released
the parking brake.:nix:

It's an electronic parking brake on your left side. Push it to engage, pull it to disengage. It is marked with a big P and is just under the light control.

If you push the button with P next to the gear selector does it do the same job as pushing the park brake handle :nix:

No, it just puts the transmission into park. It does not set the parking brake.
