S Class
Battery sensor poss faulty, can sometimes read -40 for temp and incorrect battery voltage, have it looked at

A question comes to mind. Since the SLS is a soft top what is the difference in noise level between the SL 550 with the top up and the SLS with the soft top up?

With the top up, the SL550 is much like an S class on the highway. The SLS is louder but not as much as expected. The engine isn't noticeable that much at cruise speed. The top is triple layered, I am sure that helps.

With the top down, there is this magnificent sound when you put your foot down. Then there is this crazy burble and popping after a down shift. Starting the engine gives a great moment of roar induced ecstasy.

Speaking about downshifting, the car has rev matching. Cool!

1,000 miles
Yesterday, the odometer turned over to a thousand miles. The break-in procedure call for below 4,500 rpm until 1,000 miles. Then increase revs a bit at a time. Now how can I do this without being arrested?

I'll tell you how....

I signed up for a couple of track days on Daytona's Rolex course. I'll just start out short shifting. The HPDE is April tenth and eleventh if anyone is interested here's the link. http://flatoutmotorsports.us/#all

I've been doing this in the Corvette but now is the time to get some respect from the Porsche owners.
