I think you are going to have to check it out- It is not like a normal trunk, certainly nothing like my 2012 650i cabrio. There is a well, a large storage area under it and all kinds of side spots you can squeeze stuff in not to mention a parcel shelf that protects the top against luggage that can be moved up and down. I would take a bag to the dealer and drop it in. I did that with my golf clubs in my 650 and I tested my kids car seat in the GL I just ordered.
