SL/R231: Back Massage

Back Massage
Aside from "off" there are 4 settings for the back massage (1) slow, gentle (2) slow, vigorous (3) fast, gentle and (4) fast, vigorous. The first 3 settings provide a massage that begins at the base of the back and moves to the shoulders and then goes from the shoulders to the base of the back continuously. An up the back and down the back massage experience. Setting 4, in my SL, begins massaging at the base of the back and continues to the shoulders. But here is where the difference begins. The massaging then stops for a few seconds and begins again at the base of the back again; moving up to the shoulders--so it never reverses itself and goes down the back as in the other 3 settings. Is this how everyone's massage function works or can you feel setting 4 provide a massage going down your back also?
