Sold 06 CLS500. SL550 09. SL550 2013. Own C6 Corvette heavily customized garage queen 2005.
Tires
Can someone pls rec a really good tire and I dont want the run flats..have the continentals on at present..done about 12K and they are noisy.....Wife has fractured her back in several places and every bump she feels, so now looking for the softest ride I can find.....

I used the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's and liked them. Short lifespan like most performance tires. It's been around for a while. There is also the Potenza S-04 Pole position.

I love the Continental DWS on my SL. Tire Rack says they have the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 available for the 2013 SL in 19". I have those on my S63 and they're wonderful.

I switched the Run flats on my BMW 335i to Hankook Ventus V12 evo's which are also available for the 19's on the SL. They were very good performers and greatly improved the ride on the BMW. Reasonably priced and they lasted a little over 10,000 miles on the 335i.

Only 10K..you must have pushed it somewhat? Is the ride smooth?

Yes, that included a couple of track days and a few brisk drives with the BMW club. The ride was very smooth. With the Bridgestone RFLTS the car was much stiffer than the SL, but with the Hankooks it was smoother than my SL is with the Conti RFLTS.
