New SL550.. Issues with Nav..
Hello Everyone...
My name is Huzi, and I just picked up a 2013 SL550!
It was an original Red/Ivory car, but I have modded it to smoky chrome exterior, with all the SL63 bits except front fender...
I am having issues with the Navigation now - ever since I put the chrome wrap on the rear trunk lid (where the nav antenna is), my navigation system has stopped picking up satellites.. I removed the wrap from under the spoiler, but there is still no satellites showing up on the Nav (when looking at the 'compass' selection)...
Besides removing the wrap, are there any possible solutions - exterior gps antenna? rerouting the antenna somewhere else? any suggestions are appreciated...
Thank you very much....
FYI: the problem I have is that navigation keeps thinking I am somewhere else, and not at the correct location I am...

As you stated, the antenna is hidden under the trunk lid. The whole trunk is made out of composite to hide all antennas (gps, sat radio, cellular, mbrace), so you probably need an external gps antenna. Since the type of connector is key, you'll need to check with MB where the part is and find the connection.
There are lots of antennas for $10-$20. Ebay will be your friend. Good luck
