"LUXURY" VERSION SL IN GERMANY, BUT NOT IN USA!
Has anyone else noticed that for the current model SL, there is no "Luxury" vs. "Sports" models in the US? Up until the new model came out, in the US, you could get the SL550 in standard or what some call the "Luxury" trim, OR you could order the car with the "Sports" Package. It's STILL like that in Germany, but now we peons here in the US get no choice. All of our SL's are sports models. Luxury is having more choices. Every time MB takes choices awY from their customers, they make the experience of selecting an MB LESS luxurious.

These were naming conventions used for the lower-end C&E class models only; never for higher-end S, CL or SL models.
Granted that the SL over here is optioned much better than in Europe at a lower price but you are the only one complaining about it calling it a lack of choices.

You keep on saying this but the non AMG version was never called the luxury version.

As far as me being "the only one complaining," many others seem to be complaining as well, but in a different way: they are simply not buying the car, but hey, I'm a member of that group as well.
