Anyon know when the 2016 Dealer Ordering Guide for the SL550 might be out? Not concerned with any changes, just don't want to order a 15 and have it become a model year old shortly after I take possession. My dealer doesn't know.

The link was sent to me by my dealer in an e-mail and the copy/paste functionality of my iPad no longer works thanks to Apple. I am not a tech person so I would recommend contacting your dealer for a link that works for you or have them print a copy and mail it as I did last year. Sorry for the inconvienience. Most noteworthy change is a boost in HP from 429 to 449 for 16.

It may remain at the current 516 you mention but I am hoping for a bit more as how torque is what moves the car.

I was quoting official Mercedes Benz numbers - both from R230/R231 brochures and on-line - for R231 SL550 and R230 SL55. Official Mercedes numbers for both stand at 4.5sec 0-60.

Curious about the horsepower ratings....
The 449 hp is for the SL550. Is that just a bump on the current 4.6 liter motor? Or is it the new 4.0 liter motor with the hot V setup (turbo location in V)?
Also, seems no information on the hp rating of the SL63. Anybody have info on that?

The SL400 uses a turbo charged V6 with 329hp
The '16 SL63 will continue to have 577hp with 664 ft. lbs of torque.
By the way, I have my '15 SL63 up for sale and advertised in the mbworld classifieds.
There are no changes, cosmetic or mechanical in the '16 vs. '15 SL63.
