Dog seat suggestions for SL?

Hi All,

Recently purchased a 2016 SL400. We own a small dog (chihuahua x pug) and would like to find a way to place her in the back area (see picture attached). Perhaps some sort of car seat or similar. It's proving difficult given that there isn't anything really in the back to secure a seat or something similar in. As there will be 2 people in the front, having her in the front isn't an option, looking for a solution for the back only.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to purchase in order to fit our dog in the back area? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Pomeranian in the SL63, we just put a round dog bed on the rear center console in the back. I'll post a picture later today if I can find one.

Thanks for the reply! Did you find it slip at all around corners or having to break hard?

Would be keen to see picture.

Well I don't drive like that with little bastids in the car. Maybe he needs a 5 pt harness? lol

Honestly, the circle of the bed is larger than the space between seats and larger than the space between the seats and the back wall, so it pretty much stays wedged in there. I'd say just measure and make sure you set something "a little to big" so it stuffs in the space tightly.

You can see just a bit of the green and tan dog bed wedged between the seats.

Keep in mind, it's round not square.
