I'm getting real close to buying a new set of shoes for my SL550. Right now I've been running with the Bridgestone Potenza 19" RF tires. I'm in Calif. I'm looking for an all around good performance/quiet tire. Renntech suggested the Super Sports +3 but they have gotten mixed reviews. I don't need an all weather tire here in Calif. Any personal experience with a different tire would be appreciated. I do drive aggressive though 😬 Thanks! Stano

Michelin Pilot Super Sports are my current tires
I had difficulty finding them in the 20" sizes I needed, but was able to find them at discounted wheel warehouse. The tires grip well here in Texas and do a good job in the rain as well. Prior to that I had Hankook Ventus V12 evo2's which lasted about 8,000 miles. The Hankook's did not hook up as well as the Michelin's, but they were much better than the run flats that came with the car. Your mileage may vary, but I haven't seen anyone with the Super Sports regret their purchase.

I spoke to a shop here in Calif. and they suggested the Michelin PSS. I'm going with 265/19 in the fronts and 295/19 in the rear. I was going to lower the car but decided against it. The car has a Renntech tune in it and I might put on some down pipes. I'll have Renntech retune it. Would spacers look ok even if it isn't lowered? Thinking maybe 10mm might work. Anyone who has pictures with spacers installed please post up. By the way the car is Pearl White with the Designo package and the B&O audio system. Car had 9400 miles on it ��

Michelin super sports are some of the best tires one can buy for the SL. To the best of my knowledge, they are not even available for the SL 19" setup.
You maybe thinking about the Michelin sport AS 3+ which is a very different tire. More a typical all season tire, but very decent.
