Consider this:
The multispoke is a decent looking wheel, but very common across the range of MB's. Tough to clean...
The five spoke is unique to the SL and very easy to clean. Looks decent too.
It's not a dated wheel even though you think so...
So pick the one that bothers you less...

Resurrecting this post about wheels because I test drove a 2018 450SL today and afterwards "built" one with the salesman.
I was shocked and disappointed to find that you cannot get the 19" AMG 5-spoke wheels that are standard on the SL550 on an SL450. It comes standard with a 5-spoke wheel that...just doesn't do anything for me. The salesguy said that it would be prohibitively expensive to try and get them on the 450. Sure would be nice to be able to buy them and get some credit for the OEMs. I really don't want to pay the extra $15K for the 550 or go thru the hassle of selling the OEMs privately and buying the AMGs.

If anyone needs a set of Mercedes wheels, I have them for you ! They were taken off a 2018 SL before it was delivered to me, wheels had 28 miles on them.\
They are in boxes ! Any reasonable offer gets them.
