As you know from Steinhart's excellent post, the rear speaker volume is less than desired. So along with the Alpine amp, I have installed two JBL Basspro under seat powered subs. They both were installed on the floor just behind the seats and have adequate clearance. No trunk space is used for a large sub. The bass coming from these units are as good as the front factory units installed in the sub frames of the car. This way the small speakers which primarily supply the midrange and tweeter sound in the back do not let the sound get distorted at higher volumes. The installer at the BB in Albany NY did a great job. I will try to get him to post some pics.
